Exciting opportunity to join a leading aerospace manufacturer. Are you an experienced Tools Development Engineer with a passion for metrology and manufacturing engineering? This company is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Jigs and Tooling Engineer, supporting the ramp-up at their Broughton plant.
As the Jigs and Tooling Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful industrialization of SA Jigs and Tools Requests and supporting Projects. This will involve creating, developing, and modifying jigs and tools until final acceptance and handover to the corresponding Operations Team. You will also collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and consolidate the company's Industrial Vision.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and/or specify the requested Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements
- Contribute to CDT MFT for production investigations, utilizing your tooling and metrology skillset
- Interpret aircraft design models and relay information into operations and operational support
- Define the certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification process, features, and schedule
- Conduct Jigs and Tools Technical Assessments and produce Technical Acceptance Reports
- Manage the Jigs and Tools assets Design and Manufacturing data set
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and other Business Information Systems
- Experienced knowledge of aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures
- Understanding of the relationships and interactions with other Manufacturing Engineering and Business functions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Leadership abilities and a self-motivated approach
