Leading Edge Aviation is a leading commercial pilot training school with exciting growth plans and a reputation for producing exceptional pilots. We are looking for a positive and technology savvy Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (TKI) to join our amazing Ground School team who are responsible for the delivery of core subjects within the ATPL syllabus of Theoretical Knowledge, delivered in accordance with the CAA ratified training manual.
Role overview
- Delivering excellent theoretical education in line with Leading Edge Aviation guidelines as well as aviation authority rules.
- Ensuring every pupil satisfies course requirements, training guidelines and goals.
- Leading by example with great emphasis on showing our business values and demonstrating professional behaviour and attitude.
- Delivering theoretical knowledge instruction to trainees.
- Tracking and evaluating trainee progress in theoretical knowledge.
- Maintaining and updating training records.
- Keeping theoretical knowledge current with the latest published learning objectives.
- Performing administrative tasks and other duties that support the role of the CTKI.
- Ensuring compliance with training policies and procedures.
- Promoting and communicating policies, procedures, and standards across the academy.
- Ensuring that theoretical knowledge training materials, manuals, and courseware are fit for purpose and aligned with business needs.
- Delivering theoretical knowledge training in line with Leading Edge Aviation’s company values.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in delivering ATPL theoretical knowledge instruction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to motivate and support trainees while effectively interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong ability to focus and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability to change and ability to adjust as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of customer focus, even in challenging situations.
