We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our client's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tewkesbury, on a permanent basis. Our client specialises in the design and manufacture of complex mechanical products supplying the global aerospace and defence sectors. This position has a strong focus on APQP and PPAP, therefore proven experience within these areas is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the integration and implementation of APQP within the NPI process
- Support advanced quality planning activities
- Ensure customer quality requirements are incorporated into NPI processes
- Capture and integrate lessons learned into APQP activities
- Coordinate, manage and monitor PPAP activities
- Identify and implement improvements within manufacturing processes
- Support cross-functional teams with non-conformances and corrective actions
- Support external compliance and customer audits
- Close out corrective actions raised during audit activities
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in APQP and PPAP application
- Experience working within an AS9100 certified environment
- Knowledge and practical application of PFMEA
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Strong communication skills, both internal and external
