We’re looking for ambitious, mission-driven individuals who are excited to work hard alongside their colleagues to build and deploy world-leading technology that tackles some of the planet’s most urgent infrastructure challenges.Role OverviewWe’re looking for a tactical Supply Chain Manager to lead the supply chain and procurement team in the day-to-day operations and longer-term roadmap deployment to achieve supply chain excellence. You’ll be at the heart of ensuring our procurement and supply chain processes are optimised and deliver value efficiently. This is a varied, practical and strategic role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving start-up environment, with a mix of logistics, strategic supplier selection, procurement, supply chain, ERP implementation etc. You’ll be managing everything from international supplier selection and evaluation, logistics management and purchasing, inventory management to supplier relations.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with R&D and production to source and select suppliers for development projects and ongoing commercial production.Supplier Relationship management.Implement appropriate RFQ process and structure incl. supplier assessment and evaluation methodology.Collaborate with colleagues to consider SQA requirements and implement SQA frameworksManage supplier contracting and documentation.Define Procurement and Supply Chain processes, procedures and templates.Source both materials, components, parts assembly and CapEx equipment Manage outsourced manufacturing and assembly contractsDefine and track procurement and Supply Chain KPIs and supplier scorecards to drive efficiency improvements and supplier performanceWork in the ERP implementation project and ensure robust Procurement and Supply Chain functionality.Oversee logistics incl. customs and import/export activities and regulations.Responsible for purchasing and inventory management.Ensure field project support; transport, equipment, vehicles, site kits etc.Design, recruit and build a high performing Procurement and Supply Chain team.Provide leadership and guidance to the wider organisation on sourcing and supply chain topicsEngage in the future growth and development of the businessRequired Skills & ExperienceExperienced Procurement and Supply Chain managerComfortable handling international sourcing activities, supplier evaluations and selections.Strong Procurement and Supply Chain process management skills and experienced process ownerExperienced from RFI/RFQ stage through to contract management and ongoing supplier managementExperienced in import/export, customs processes and regulationsConfident with ERP, WMS and logistics systemsGreat communicator, able to coordinate with engineers, suppliers, shippers and partnersA proactive mindset, someone who spots issues early and takes initiativeAbility to manage multiple tasks and stay calm in a fast-paced environmentDesirable Skills & ExperienceExperience from global supplier managementFamiliarity with PPE and health & safety requirements for site-based workAn eye for detail and a drive to make things happenInterest in robotics, engineering, or tech innovationExperience of implementing ERP systemWhy Join AssetCool?Work on groundbreaking technology revolutionizing the power grid.Fast-growing startup with significant industry traction and large-scale projects.Collaborative, innovation-driven team with exciting career growth opportunities.Competitive salary, and flexible work optionsWe are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
