The role is ideally suited to someone based in the South East or South West of England, with good access to the region for customer visits and territory management. You will manage your own geographical territory, building strong relationships with both new and existing customers. You’ll also provide technical support and guidance, helping customers select the right solutions for their needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling customer enquiries
  • Entering orders into an ERP system
  • Maintaining accurate customer and project data within the CRM
  • Producing and monitoring annual sales budgets
  • Attending training courses, which may occasionally require overseas travel or weekend attendance

We’re seeking a proactive, technically-minded individual with the following attributes:

  • Sales Experience: Proven background in technical or engineering sales, ideally within OEM, distribution, or industrial sectors.
  • Customer-Focused: Comfortable making a defined number of well-targeted, follow-up sales calls, and skilled in building long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills across various formats (e.g. email, phone, letters).
  • Technical Confidence: Able to respond to technical queries and offer product advice to customers and colleagues.
  • Systems Knowledge: Experience working with CRM and ERP systems (knowledge of SAP systems is beneficial).
  • Organisational Skills: Capable of prioritising activities, managing budgets, and maintaining up-to-date documentation on customer accounts and projects.
