Our client is a leading shipping company owning over 25 vessels (VLCC's) and has a busy order book of new builds. They are now looking to hire a commercial shipping lawyer to join their London office. You will advise on a broad range of matters. Shipping disputes and commercial contracts will form the bulk of the role, but there will also be a significant ship finance element for which full training will be provided. Corporate, company secretarial, corporate finance and employment issues might also arise.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years professional experience of shipping / maritime law, but individuals outside of this range will be considered. For the successful individual, a truly long term career is on offer with an excellent work / life balance and first rate remuneration and benefits.
