We are proud to have been awarded Investors in Diversity and are committed to providing growth opportunities for all employees.About the Role:We have a fantastic opportunity for a Setting Out Engineer to join our expanding Major Projects team working on key infrastructure schemes across the Milton Keynes highways network. Whether you\’re an ambitious graduate looking to take the next step, or an experienced engineer seeking a new challenge, this is a chance to join a high-performing team delivering projects that shape communities.In this role, you’ll be pivotal in ensuring the accurate setting out of works, helping to deliver schemes safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with Site Agents and Supervisors, support quality assurance processes, and contribute to maintaining technical records that keep projects compliant and efficient.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out accurate setting out for highways construction works (e.g. earthworks, drainage, kerbing, surfacing, etc.)Ensure compliance with design drawings and specificationsWork collaboratively with site teams to solve on-site engineering challengesMaintain and manage records of as-built information and surveysAssist with compiling QA documentation, permits, and site reportsUse modern surveying equipment and software to support project deliveryChampion safety, quality, and environmental standards on siteSupport graduate development or contribute to mentoring others (if experienced)What We’re Looking ForDegree or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalentPrevious setting out experience (placement or full-time)Strong understanding of technical drawings and surveying tools (e.g. GPS, Total Station)Willingness to learn and grow in a supportive team environmentSMSTS / SSSTS is beneficial but not essentialFull UK Driving LicenceWe are Investors in People accredited We work hard to create an environment for job satisfaction, where our workforce feel that they are instrumental in contributing to the overall success of the business and on a personal level, can access development towards their professional goals and aspirations.We have a dedicated recruitment team and politely request that agencies refrain from contacting anyone across our businesses with regards to speculative CV’s or offering to assist with our vacancies, thank you.
