What You Will Do:
- Serve as the domain expert in US healthcare, including core medical and supplemental insurance products, understanding nuances in claims workflows, policy rules, and regulatory implications.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog for cloud-based claims processing platforms, including features for claim intake, adjudication, provider integration, and member communications.
- Work with engineering and DevOps teams to deliver performant and compliant solutions in AWS, leveraging services like Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, RDS, and S3.
- Collaborate with US-based stakeholders to define requirements and ensure alignment with regulatory standards (HIPAA, ACA, ERISA) and payer/provider needs.
- Build and support product features for supplemental health benefits workflows, such as eligibility validation, benefit coordination, and integration with core health plans.
- Drive agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Define and track product KPIs including time-to-pay, claim accuracy, and system SLAs.
Skills and Experience You Will Need:
- Required:
- 5+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager in US healthcare and insurance technology, with strong focus on claims processing.
- Deep domain knowledge of supplemental health insurance products: accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, dental, vision, etc.
- Familiarity with US healthcare transaction standards: HIPAA, EDI (837/835), CPT/ICD-10 etc.
- Proven experience working with AWS-based microservices and serverless architectures.
- Technical fluency in APIs, data structures, and cloud-native application workflows.
- Strong Agile/Scrum experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, or Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across distributed teams and stakeholders.
- Desired:
- Experience with voluntary benefits platforms, benefit enrollment systems, or TPA platforms.
- Familiarity with US-based billing codes, provider credentialing, or eligibility verification processes.
