Interim SEN Data OfficerBased in North London, hybrid workingLength: 3-Months (Potential for extension)Inside IR35We are working with a London local authority to recruit a SEN Data Officer to support performance management and strategic planning across Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services. This is a vital analytical role responsible for delivering accurate, insightful data that supports statutory returns, budget planning, and the development of a live Local Area SEND Dashboard.Key Responsibilities of the Interim SEN Data Officer:Lead on the collection, analysis, and presentation of SEND performance data across education, health, and social careDevelop and maintain a live SEND Local Area dashboard (preferably in Power BI) to support strategic decision-makingOversee data management and quality within the case management system (e.g. Synergy or Liquid Logic)Produce statutory returns including the SEN2 return, and respond to regional/national data requestsProvide insight and reporting to governance groups such as the SEND Partnership Board and Pre-SEND BoardLead on data benchmarking against national and statistical neighbours to inform service improvementsCoordinate the delivery of monthly monitoring reports and ensure forecasts are robust and well-evidencedLead and support service grant claims, government returns, and preparation of working papers for year-end accountsContribute to transformation projects and service improvement initiatives as part of the finance division\'s strategic goalsSkills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim SEN Data Officer:Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring in a public sector settingStrong understanding of SEND services, EHCP processes, and local authority responsibilitiesAdvanced Excel and/or Power BI skills; ability to create dashboards and manipulate large datasetsExperience producing statutory data submissions such as SEN2 and working with DfE returns platformsTo apply for this role or to find out about other jobs, please contact Dan Williams on the London Local Government Recruitment team on 020 7557 7667 or send your CV to localgov@venngroup.com*Venn Group’s “Recommendation Scheme”: if you recommend a candidate who is subsequently placed by Venn Group (for a minimum of 2 weeks) you will be eligible for vouchers from a choice of high street organisations
