We're looking for a Maintenance Engineering Supervisor to take responsibility for the safe and compliant delivery of all engineering, maintenance and asset integrity activity within a Manufacturing business. This is a hands-on leadership role in a regulated industrial environment. It requires someone methodical, technically credible and comfortable being accountable.

The Role

  • Lead the site engineering function day to day, ensuring maintenance, inspection and project work is delivered safely, to standard, on time and within budget.
  • Deliver and maintain the site asset integrity programme.
  • Ensure all inspection and maintenance activities meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Monitor engineering performance and report against agreed KPIs.
  • Manage engineering contractors on site.
  • Act as Permit Issuer within the Permit to Work system.
  • Ensure compliance with L8 legionella requirements (Duty Holder).
  • Act as Site Lifting Appointed Person.
  • Support delivery of site projects in line with engineering standards.

You'll work closely with the Site Manager to maintain compliance with the Safety Report, Major Accident Hazard controls and Process Safety Performance Indicators.

Safety & Compliance

This role carries real responsibility. You will:

  • Enforce safe systems of work and risk controls.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning.
  • Act as Site Incident / Main Controller as part of Duty Manager cover.
  • Ensure SHEQ policies and ISO standards are applied consistently.
  • Drive continuous improvement where gaps are identified.

This is about maintaining control, standards and discipline across site engineering activities.
