Altrad are currently recruiting experienced Platers to join our team at Sellafield. This role involves working within a highly regulated environment, contributing to key projects across maintenance, fabrication, and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Fabricate, assemble, and install steelwork and plate components
- Carry out marking out, cutting, shaping, and fitting tasks
- Ensure all work complies with site safety and quality standards
- Work collaboratively within a multi-skilled team
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plater in heavy industry (nuclear, oil & gas, or construction preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Strong commitment to health & safety
- Eligibility to obtain Sellafield site clearance
Desirable
- Previous experience working on Sellafield
- CSCS / CCNSG Safety Passport
- Experience in nuclear or highly regulated environments
