Altrad are currently recruiting experienced Platers to join our team at Sellafield. This role involves working within a highly regulated environment, contributing to key projects across maintenance, fabrication, and installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install steelwork and plate components
  • Carry out marking out, cutting, shaping, and fitting tasks
  • Ensure all work complies with site safety and quality standards
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-skilled team

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Plater in heavy industry (nuclear, oil & gas, or construction preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Strong commitment to health & safety
  • Eligibility to obtain Sellafield site clearance

Desirable

  • Previous experience working on Sellafield
  • CSCS / CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Experience in nuclear or highly regulated environments
