A leading UK consumer business offering a highly recognisable brand with a loyal customer base. The business continues to invest into digital marketing and performance channels as part of wider growth across ecommerce and online customer acquisition. The SEO Coordinator will sit within the digital marketing team, reporting directly to the Performance Marketing Manager, with support from a specialist SEO agency partner.
This is a hands-on SEO Coordinator role focused on content optimisation, keyword research, and supporting the implementation of SEO best practice across the website. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external agency partners to ensure all on-site content is optimised, keywords are correctly targeted, and performance is regularly analysed to drive improvements across organic search rankings and traffic. The role requires strong attention to detail, an eagerness to learn, and a hands-on approach to SEO execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct keyword research to identify optimisation opportunities and content gaps.
- Review and optimise on-site content to ensure SEO best practice.
- Monitor organic search rankings and report on performance trends.
- Work with the SEO agency to implement technical recommendations and content changes.
- Conduct local SEO audits and deliver insights to improve search visibility.
- Collaborate with content and marketing teams to ensure tone of voice and brand guidelines are followed.
- Provide actionable insights based on agency reports and internal analysis.
- Spot missed opportunities and areas for growth across organic search.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience in digital marketing, ideally with exposure to SEO.
- Strong interest in developing an SEO specialism.
- Hands-on experience with keyword research and content optimisation.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and proactive mindset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Desirable:
- Direct experience working within an SEO function.
- Exposure to SEO tools such as SE Ranking or similar.
- Some understanding of technical SEO audits and optimisation.
- Client-side experience preferred.
