We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our team in Scotland. This is a senior technical role with a hybrid work structure (no regular office attendance required, but client meetings may be necessary). The ideal candidate will have a valid CCIE in Data Center (or equivalent expertise) and deep knowledge in infrastructure, cloud, and security architecture. You will lead client engagements, own solution design, and ensure seamless handoff to engineering teams for implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead architectural design for enterprise infrastructure projects including data center, cloud, and network security.
- Conduct workshops and technical presentations with client stakeholders to align solutions with business goals.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure delivery matches architectural intent.
- Provide high-level troubleshooting and architectural oversight for ongoing client engagements.
- Maintain expertise in Cisco solutions, particularly in data center networking and hybrid cloud architecture.
- Author and present architecture documentation, diagrams, and proposals.
- Support pre-sales efforts by contributing to scoping and solution development.
- Active CCIE in Data Center or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 7+ years in a senior network engineering or solution architect role.
- Expertise in Cisco Nexus, ACI, routing, switching, and security technologies.
- Ability to interface with both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working at or with a Cisco partner or systems integrator.
- Additional certifications (e.g., CCDE, AWS or Azure Architect, CCIE Security).
- Familiarity with automation and scripting tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python).
- Experience with Zero Trust frameworks and hybrid cloud designs.
