The Role
You’ll take ownership of rights protection and claims across key digital platforms, ensuring content usage complies with platform policies and copyright law. Working with internal stakeholders and external partners, you’ll lead on content disputes, resolve infringement claims, and drive monetisation strategies. This is a hands-on role that also involves guiding junior team members and contributing to broader policy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee rights management processes across UGC platforms (e.g. YouTube Content ID, Meta Rights Manager, TikTok).
- Evaluate and resolve copyright claims, disputes and counterclaims.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global copyright legislation and platform-specific rules.
- Act as the main contact for UGC platforms and legal escalations.
- Use data tools to analyse content performance and trends in monetisation and infringement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on compliance, client reputation, and platform relationships.
- Mentor junior staff and support internal knowledge-sharing.
About You
- At least 3 years’ experience in music rights management or copyright enforcement within digital/UGC platforms.
- Familiar with dispute resolution processes, rights tracking systems and platform guidelines.
- Understanding of DMCA, global copyright frameworks, and digital media operations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in tools like SQL, spreadsheets or scripting a plus.
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational and documentation habits.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
