Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a market leading manufacturer supplying Cosmetics, health & CBD products to the retail market, based in Leicestershire.Due to a period of exciting growth, they are looking to appoint an R&D Technologist to lead on developing of new & existing products for the company portfolio.On offer:Salary up to £45k with a further salary review after 6 and 12 months.25 days holiday + bank holidaysCompany pension40 hours per weekWorking Monday to Friday days only.The role:Reporting to the Managing Director, they will manage the R&D department with ownership of R&D projects from concept through to product launch.The successful candidate is tasked with conducting onsite development trials, collaborating with other departments such as sales and marketing, and leading product briefs.The key responsibilities of the role include:Managing new product development trials from concept to launchSourcing materials from suppliers with cost and quality in mindLeading weekly R&D meetings and product briefsImplementing processes for new R&D projectsAttending trade shows to represent the companyDelivering on NPD briefs from customersCandidate requirements:The business is looking for an individual with experience in a similar role in a fast paced environment within UK FMCG manufacturing.Excellent attention to detail and communication skillsA degree in a related scientific subjectExperience within an NPD/R&D role either in either health, beauty or cosmetic products manufacturingEffective at engaging with operational teamsIf this role is of interest please apply with the most recent version of your CV and arrange a call with Giuseppe Leo on 07857 348079 or giuseppe.leo@alexandersteele.com to discuss the vacancy in more detail.
