This is an exceptional opportunity to join an award-winning dynamic and supportive law firm known for providing specialist legal advice to Defendant healthcare professionals and organisations.

The national Healthcare Regulatory team handles a broad spectrum of work defending healthcare professionals and organisations in regulatory proceedings before statutory regulators such as the GMC/MPTS, GDC, GOC, GPhC, NMC, and HCPC. The team also represents clients in disciplinary proceedings before NHS Trusts, NHS England, and private healthcare businesses. They are regularly instructed in Coroner's Inquests, CQC proceedings, data disputes, and public inquiries, with a specialist sub-team dedicated to defending healthcare professionals in criminal proceedings.

The Regulatory team is seeking an experienced Legal Director to manage a varied caseload of regulatory healthcare matters for clients including insurance companies, medical and dental defence organisations, private individuals, and professional associations. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing regulatory and inquest matters, as well as a proven ability to handle complex cases. The role also requires experience in managing and supporting junior fee-earners, with a strong focus on business development and contributing to the growth of the department.

The Candidate

  • 4+ PQE solicitor, experienced in professional discipline matters
  • Strong technical skills across a range of complex legal matters
  • Proven track record in business development and supporting growth
  • Experience in managing and supporting junior fee-earners
  • Ability to understand and meet client expectations, objectives, and key concerns
  • Commitment to consistently delivering high-quality advice to clients
