Quantity Surveyor

Location: Basingstoke, England

Salary: £45,000 - £57,000 per annum plus car/car allowance and benefits

Introduction: We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. If you are confident making data-led decisions, have a sharp eye for detail, and know how to prioritise effectively, we would love to hear from you.

What will I be doing?

• Take ownership of subcontractor accounts while supporting the Commercial Manager and guiding the commercial team
• Lead the charge on resolving client disputes, conducting internal audits, and managing the commercial risk register
• Drive accuracy in weekly valuations by verifying measurements and ensuring cost precision
• Dig into the detail of contracts and rates, identifying opportunities for cost savings
• Deliver impactful Cost Value Reports (CVRs) that clearly track project performance

What do I need to succeed?

• Bring solid experience as a Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial awareness, NEC contract knowledge, and a proven ability to manage complex subcontract orders and risk
• Lead with confidence by communicating effectively, supporting internal teams, and building trusted client relationships
• Inspire others with charismatic communication and a genuine interest in developing your team
• Think analytically with exceptional Excel skills and the ability to deliver clear, impactful insights
• Back it up with a degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent), or substantial hands-on experience in a similar role
