To apply you MUST be a UK British Citizen. No Visa\’s or Dual NationalsCarbon60 is currently looking for a Purchasing / Procurement Officer to join a client of ours based in Stevenage. This is a 6 month contract with the possible of extension to a 9 month contract.This is a dynamic team providing a dynamic working culture. You will be expected to be 1-2 days per week in the office depending on work load, the rest will be from home.As the Purchasing / Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for a range of duties, including:- Processing electronic and manual requisitions- Using SAP to raise requests for quotations (RFQ)- Creating Excel spreadsheets to assess data and aid the supplier selection process- Raising purchase orders within SAP- Progressing orders to ensure on-time delivery to internal customers- Amending purchase orders in line with changing delivery forecasts- Maintaining dialogue with internal customers to ensure accurate delivery forecasts- Liaising with Bought Ledger and vendors to resolve invoice queries and enable timely and accurate payments- Data cleansing of SAP to ensure accurate data collection- Assessing and measuring supplier quality, and distributing monthly reportsRequired Skill set- A proactive, flexible, and self-starting approach- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)- A good working knowledge of SAP (desirable)- Education to at least O-level/GCSE/NVQ in Maths and EnglishIf you have the skills and experience to excel as a Purchasing / Procurement Officer, we encourage you to apply today with an updated CV.
