Our established manufacturing client is looking to appoint an experienced Purchasing & Materials Manager.The Purchasing & Materials Manager will lead and mentor the Purchasing and Inventory Teams to ensure the supply of materials and services to the business, fostering a positive team culture.Responsibilities of the role will include:Supporting the purchasing team to source, order and manage components and materialsWork closely with Suppliers to manage SLA’s and on-time deliveryMaintain accurate stock levels of inventory and consigned stockEnsuring the store\’s area is well organised and efficient Oversee material flow to maintain optimal inventory levels that support on-time customer delivery Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure accurate planning and highlight any supply issuesLead materials management projectsDetermine and drive continuous improvement projectsManage the QMS systemsKnowledge and experience required for the role:Experience in leading and developing successful Supply Chain Teams (purchasing, inventory and warehousing)Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environmentsExperience of using ERP/MRP systems, teamed with Excel SkillsExperience of working in a medical-accredited environment would be highly advantageousTeam player who will build strong working relationships with colleagues to support the growth and profitability of the businessPassion for continuous improvement and projectsThis is an off-site role4 Day Working Week
