Role Overview:
Victoria Beckham Ltd offers a selection of work placement opportunities for those currently studying at university and looking to gain experience in the Fashion Industry. The placements we offer provide a varied and tangible learning experience that can be applied to roles in the future and support the university learning experience.
Learn about production within a luxury fashion brand’s production department. Gain knowledge into seasonal fashion fabric and trims through assisting in day-to-day tasks whilst gaining experience of working in a fast-paced luxury environment.
Responsibilities:
- To support the production team across the seasonal production process to ensure on-time deliveries
- Updating of internal systems with seasonal information and fabric trackers
- Communicate daily with factories and suppliers
- Assist with the organisation of production and the delivery of fabrics and trims
- Assist with the monitoring and collating of seasonal fabrics, trim and label stocks
- Organise fabric, barcode and trim send outs
- Assist with the ordering of Care Labels
- Help keep the fabric archive updated and accurate with the filing of new fabrics and monitoring of previous stock.
- Assist with the delivery of seasonal fabric and trims
- Admin support with production and fabric and trims shipments packing lists
- Collate and send visual overviews of styles to each factory each season
- Collate and send seasonal fabric swatch references to factories
- Admin support with pre-shipment approvals
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Good knowledge of Word and Excel
- Clear communication
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Ideally have knowledge in garments and fabrics
- Keen interest to gain experience in production, and fabric and trim purchasing and learn about the day-to-day tasks within this department.
