Procurement Officer- Contract Location: ManchesterHybrid: 2 days in the office / 3 days from homeDuration: 3 months Day Rate: £340 per day (outside IR35) Role:We are looking for an Interim Procurement Officer to provide advice and support across public services procurement and contract management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running and add value quickly, supporting managers and teams with procurement advice, tendering and contract monitoring.Day-to-day duties will vary but could include:Advising on procurement and contract strategies.Preparing and managing tender documentation.Supporting evaluations, supplier due diligence and contract negotiations.Monitoring contractor performance and reporting outcomes.Maintaining contract registers and re-tendering schedules.Producing clear procurement and contract reports for management.Ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and best practice.Acting as system owner for e-procurement platforms, including user training.Required Experience:Proven experience in public procurement.MCIPS Level 4 (or equivalent), or currently working towards it.Strong knowledge of procurement policies, procedures and legislation.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Organised, delivery-focused, and able to work to tight deadlines.To Apply: You must be living and authorised to work in the UK to apply for this position.
