A leading Financial Services organisation based in London is urgently seeking a Senior Process Improvement Consultant (certified to Lean Six Sigma Black Belt level or above) for an initial 6-month contract. This role is outside IR35, offering a day rate of up to £650, flexibly based from their London HQ.
The organisation is undergoing a multi-year strategic transformation within its Investments division, centred around a major systems implementation programme. This initiative aims to enhance trading operations, improve data management efficiency, and streamline data distribution across the investment lifecycle.
As the programme enters a pivotal "to-be" process mapping phase, they are seeking an experienced process improvement expert to lead the design and delivery of future-state processes across key investment functions.
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have the following:
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or higher
- Proven expertise in end-to-end process improvement, including modelling, analysis, and the use of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (particularly DMAIC)
- Strong skills in process mapping, design, and optimisation
- Hands-on experience with Business Process Management (BPM) tools
- Exposure to workflow and process automation solutions
- Proficiency in BPMN 2.0
- Demonstrated success working across multiple business domains and with cross-functional teams
- Extensive experience in the Financial Services sector
- Exceptional senior stakeholder management and communication skills
This is a rare opportunity to take a leading role in defining the future-state of a critical business area while helping to optimise investment operations on a large scale. Partnering closely with developers, actuaries, and business stakeholders, you will guide complex process improvement initiatives, shape streamlined workflows, and contribute directly to the successful implementation of a core investment platform.
You will perform deep-dive analysis of end-to-end processes, delivering detailed process maps, root cause identification, and data correlation aligned to statistical relevance. You’ll drive the successful execution of process improvement projects using DMAIC, lead Kaizen events, and produce storyboards that clearly articulate benefits and outcomes.
Please note: To be considered for this role, candidates must have a strong background in Financial Services, extensive process design and improvement experience at Lean Six Sigma Black Belt level or above, and outstanding senior stakeholder engagement & influencing capabilities.
