About 4D Medicine4D Medicine Ltd is revolutionizing the field of implantable medical devices with cutting-edge absorbable biomaterials. Our proprietary platform, 4Degra® is a resorbable photocurable resin derived from advanced polycarbonate urethane chemistry. 4Degra® was developed from 15 years of rigorous research at leading U.K. universities prior to 4D Medicine was setup in 2020 to commercialise its benefits. As our materials and devices continue down the path to regulatory approval we are looking to grow our team. Key responsibilities · Carry out synthetic organic reactions in line with company procedures as well as associated quality control testing.· Conducting validation activities on equipment and processes.· Safely use the laboratory and its equipment, diagnosing and reporting issues where appropriate. · Stock management of raw materials for ensuring materials· Working within both the lab and clean room environments· Maintain accurate records of all activities and writing clear technical and operational reports and recordsWhat you’ll bring: · Experience of working in any chemistry laboratory environment including university laboratories.· Experience using and maintaining general laboratory equipment.· Positive problem-solving attitude and ability to adapt.What 4D Medicine will offer you: · 25 days annual leave plus public holidays· Competitive salary (£26,000-29,000 DOE)· Flexible working hours· Access to on-site Boots staff shopPrimary locationYou will be based at Medicity, Building D6, Thane Road, Nottingham NG90 6BH. From time to time, you might also be required to work in other locations across the UK and overseas as the business develops.Working conditionsYou will be working in a laboratory and cleanroom environments; you will be provided with appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment, and to lift heavy objects from time to time.
