Our client is looking for a carpenter and plumber multi to undertake responsive and routine repairs and void repairs to their Housing and Corporate Assets. You will also. from time to time support other maintenance contracts as required when demand requires.When working in these property types you will be expected to use your skills, knowledge, experience and training to carry out a high-quality standard of workmanship, health & safety, and compliance.The key activities you will undertake in this role will be…a wide variety of carpentry and plumbing repairs in occupied homes, buildings and empty properties. The work will include; fitting of various types of doors, first and second fixing, kitchen installations, repairing minor leaks, replacing sanitary wear, ceramic wall tiling, vinyl floor tiling and non-licenced asbestos removal (where full training will be given).SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGENVQ level 2-3 in carpentry/plumbing or equivalent.Trade based experience may be considered.A full, clean current driving license is needed so you can drive one of our vans.2 – 5 yrs. experience of working in Social Housing or Building Maintenance environment.Be comfortable in dealing with residents, and the client\’s representatives.
