About the role: As an Application Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimising Recognise Bank’s core technology platforms, including nCino (Salesforce), Mambu, and the integration layer. You will act as a technical point of contact for platform-related issues, investigating and resolving incidents, monitoring system performance, and taking proactive steps to ensure the availability and stability of business-critical services. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will support new feature deployments, maintain API-driven workflows, and provide APEX-based support for Salesforce customisations. Additionally, you will contribute to documentation and process improvements to help scale and evolve our platforms. This hands-on role requires strong technical expertise in SaaS application support, Salesforce development, and systems integration, with a focus on delivering seamless, reliable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide BAU support for the bank’s core platforms, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and rapid response to incidents across nCino, Mambu, and integration layers.
- Deliver enhancements and changes to the Salesforce-based lending platform, including user setup, configuration changes, and platform optimisation.
- Support the delivery and testing of new features and integrations using Corezoid and RESTful APIs, working with internal and third-party teams.
- Maintain high standards of platform documentation including system changes, support guides, and technical specifications.
- Monitor data flows and address data quality issues through validation, investigation, and resolution.
- Participate in Change Management processes, ensuring updates and deployments are controlled and compliant.
- Support integration testing, operational acceptance, and user training as part of wider release processes.
- Work with the wider team to drive innovation, stability, and continuous improvement across the stack.
- Provide input into the longer-term roadmap for platform tooling and support strategies.
- Work with key platform vendors to escalate and resolve issues, track updates, and ensure ongoing alignment with business requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in IT support, platform operations, or application engineering roles in banking or fintech.
- At least 6 months of Salesforce development experience required with Apex classes/ triggers and Lightning Components.
- Experience supporting Salesforce-based systems (e.g. nCino), including basic APEX understanding and administrative configuration.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, system integration, and SaaS platforms (ideally including Mambu).
- Experience working in a change-controlled, regulated environment.
- Familiarity with data manipulation, QA/test processes, and tools such as Jira/Confluence.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication capabilities.
- Team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
