We are currently looking for a Senior Pharmaceutical Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Oxfordshire area. As the Senior Pharmaceutical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development of a robust, scalable manufacturing process and leading the engineering design, installation, and operation of prototype equipment for R&D processes.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide engineering input and oversight for the design, installation, and operation of prototype equipment for R&D processes, including powder blending, solid dose compression, and unit dose packaging.
- Ensure the provision and execution of User Requirements Specifications (URS) and Test Protocols, and support external engineering contractors to ensure equipment delivery meets specifications, quality standards, budget, and timelines.
- Prepare associated equipment Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Calibration/Maintenance Schedules, and train company personnel in these procedures.
- Support the design of the aseptic clinical manufacturing line and supervise equipment installation and qualification at manufacturing contractor sites, providing technical input to manufacturing processes and facilities management.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant degree in engineering or a related science.
- Extensive industry experience in pharmaceutical engineering, particularly within solid dosage form process development and manufacturing.
- A working knowledge and practical experience with GMP equipment qualification, process development, and industrialisation, as well as designing equipment for powder blending, solid dose manufacture, and packaging.
