The Role
As an Oncology Specialist Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a new immunotherapy patient support programme in partnership with a globally renowned pharmaceutical company. This is a highly rewarding role combining face-to-face clinical work and virtual patient support, where you will manage your own caseload and work closely with NHS teams to optimise patient care.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care across clinics at The Churchill Hospital, Oxford and The Horton Hospital, Banbury, alongside virtual touchpoints
- Conduct patient assessments, support treatment delivery, and provide ongoing clinical reviews
- Support patients receiving systemic anti-cancer therapies, including toxicity management, education, and adherence support
- Deliver education and training to healthcare professionals on immunotherapy and treatment pathways
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective treatment delivery
- Act as a clinical expert and key point of contact for stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous service improvement and best practice
About You
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate oncology nurse who is passionate about improving patient outcomes.
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (minimum Band 6)
- Completion of SACT passport
- Strong oncology experience, with exposure to systemic anti-cancer therapies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confident working autonomously across multiple clinical settings
- Full UK driving licence (max 6 points) and willingness to travel
Desirable:
- Experience with immunotherapy treatments
