A global insurer is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager to lead a complex Master Data Management (MDM) programme. The role requires strong leadership, deep experience with data programmes and the London insurance market, and effective vendor and stakeholder management. The Project Manager will work closely with the Chief Data Officer and other senior stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the programme within scope, time, and budget, while managing risk, change, and performance.
Role Type: 12 month contract (Outside IR35)
Salary: £700-800 per day
The Role:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex Master Data Management (MDM) programme.
- Collaborate directly with the Chief Data Officer and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Oversee vendor performance to ensure contractual compliance and issue resolution.
- Monitor programme KPIs and adjust plans to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Drive adoption of change management strategies across the organisation.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business expectations.
- Foster a collaborative project environment with strong team and stakeholder communication.
- Conduct regular progress meetings and provide updates to executive stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex data programmes, with 5+ years of project leadership experience, including 3+ years in the insurance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the London Insurance Market and its operational landscape.
- Strong expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, PRINCE2, PMI/PMBOK).
- Skilled in using project management tools such as Clarity and Jira.
- Certified in PMP, PRINCE2, or ScrumMaster; Change Management certification (e.g., PROSCI) is highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability in managing budgets, resources, risks, and complex change initiatives.
- Holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field.
