This is a pure OD brief, with a focus on designing optimal structures and workflows across multiple departments and operations simultaneously.The Role:The successful consultant will be responsible for assessing the current organisational setup, identifying inefficiencies, overlaps, and leadership gaps, and providing practical, strategic solutions to improve efficiency, drive cost savings, and support future growth.There is an established HR team in place to manage all consultation and redundancy processes, so the focus here is firmly on organisation design strategy and delivery.Key Responsibilities:Review and redesign departmental and operational structuresAnalyse and address role overlaps, leadership gaps, and inefficienciesDevelop clear workflows and optimal layers/levels of responsibilityEngage and influence functional heads and directors across the businessProvide actionable OD recommendations aligned to business goalsSupport the implementation of new structures in collaboration with internal teamsCandidate Profile:Proven track record in delivering large-scale organisation design projectsDeep expertise in operating models, workforce planning, and structural changeComfortable working in complex, multi-site environmentsStrong influencing skills and the ability to challenge and advise senior stakeholdersHands-on, solutions-focused and commercially astuteLocation & Commitment:Based in Greater ManchesterRequirement to be on site 2–3 days per week12-month day rate contract, operating outside IR35Hybrid working model
