My client is looking to add an experienced Operations Manager to their leadership team. This role will be based from their site in Stirling, reporting directly to the MD and possessing overall responsibility for day-to-day site operations. The Operations Manager will support in the development of future company strategy.
Responsibilities will include:
- Continually drive various Continuous Improvement initiatives such as lean implementation, quality improvements and production efficiency across all elements of the Operations Function
- Fully responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations including all elements of the Manufacturing Function
- Achieve all manufacturing and delivery schedule targets
- Lead all production planning activity from build and sales forecasting through final dispatch
- Continually look to improve the Operational culture with a focus on increased transparency, positivity, recognition and a shared commitment to succeed as a team
- Develop, monitor and report Operational KPI’s
- Ensure production is cost effective, ran as efficiently as possible and minimise overtime spend
- Implement a culture of Continuous Improvement, always seeking out opportunities to do things better
Qualifications & Experience required:
- 7+ years minimum experience in a manufacturing / operations management role
- Sound knowledge, understanding and examples of implementation of lean manufacturing principles and methods
- Excellent project management skills
- The ability to lead, motivate and influence large multi-functional teams
- Successful track record of training employees in productivity and safety
- Successful implementation of an effective succession planning program
