With a strong focus on operational excellence and sustainability, they are driving the transition to a zero-carbon future.The OpportunityWe’re seeking a hands-on O&M Manager to lead a growing team of coordinators and project managers responsible for maintaining a nationwide portfolio of public-sector EV charge points. This is a strategic and operational leadership role that blends day-to-day fault resolution with service improvement, system implementation, and subcontractor management.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide escalation support for critical faults and oversee the reactive maintenance team to maintain high network uptime.Manage the annual PPM schedule and support on complex issues to ensure reliable operations.Identify regional coverage gaps, recruit and onboard subcontractors, negotiate terms, and lead performance reviews.Improve field operations through route optimisation, workflow redesign, and reduced admin/mileage.Direct reporting and analytics on charger usage and fault trends to drive insight-led service improvements.Lead rollout of digital tools including ticketing systems, mobile workforce platforms, and helpdesk software.Line-manage a team of O&M coordinators and junior engineers, including performance reviews, coaching, and training plans.Own the O&M P&L, set budgets, approve POs, and monitor financial performance against targets.Essential Skills & Experience3+ years\’ experience managing multi-site field service or maintenance operations (EV charging, utilities, fibre, telecoms, or similar).Proven success in managing both internal teams and subcontractors.Track record of implementing digital service platforms (e.g., CMMS, helpdesk, route-planning tools).Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.Desirable SkillsElectrical training or qualifications.IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate.Project management qualification (Prince2, APM, etc.).Experience working with public-sector frameworks or clients.Strong data analysis and insight-to-action mindset.If you\’re an operational leader ready to take on a dynamic role at the heart of the UK’s EV infrastructure rollout, we’d love to hear from you.
