About the RoleWe are supporting the appointment of a Non-Executive Director to the board of a recently private equity-backed e-commerce business. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen governance, support investor alignment, and bring an external perspective to a fast-scaling leadership team.The company has achieved B Corp certification and is now adapting its governance model to balance commercial growth with stakeholder accountability. The incoming Non-Executive Director will contribute to this transition, helping to shape board practice, navigate investor engagement, and advise on sector scale-up.Key responsibilities include:• Contributing to the evolution of governance structures and board effectiveness• Supporting the CEO and Chair in balancing growth, risk, and stakeholder commitments• Advising on digital commerce strategy, operational scaling, and leadership capacity• Serving as an independent voice on key board committees as required• Acting as a sounding board to the executive team, especially during moments of inflectionThe appointment will require a regular quarterly cadence of board activity, with additional informal engagement at key decision points.RequirementsWe are seeking an experienced board-level advisor with deep sector knowledge and strong governance judgement.
