Job Description

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

We are looking for an Editor to join LinkedIn\’s UK and Pan Europe Editorial team. The right candidate will have a background in news publishing plus experience in audience growth, social media and content distribution. They will possess excellent news and copy writing skills, with the ability to distill news announcements into snappy blurbs and clickable notification copy.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and schedule news items and posts on LinkedIn adding expert perspectives from LinkedIn members.
  • Grow and engage audiences through strategic content and community management.
  • Develop and execute strategies for sending notifications to LinkedIn members to increase engagement and reach.
  • Create and manage email campaigns, ensuring content is relevant, timely and engaging.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure content aligns with our brand voice and editorial standards.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of posts and email campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media and email marketing.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in news writing
  • 1+ years of experience in content distribution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Great news sense.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn\’s publishing tools and analytics.
  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva.
  • Competent public speaker.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work across different platforms and channels.
