Excellent, newly created role for a capable Marketing SME with demonstrable experience in Financial Services & Managed Portfolio Services, particularly with a focus on expanding and developing IFA traction. This role will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications and Head of MPS and will be responsible for the managing and delivery of investment content in the UK, with particular focus on investment marketing activity relating to our newly established IFA channel.

The role will also be responsible for building and delivering an innovative marketing strategy for MPS and shaping and delivering high-quality insightful content that is engaging, builds trust and reinforces the brand’s authority in the UK. Working closely with our investment, product, and business development/client relationship teams to create compelling content across multiple channels, from thought leadership and market commentary to white papers, digital campaigns and client communications.

A keen interest in the UK IFA market and an excellent knowledge of key marketing techniques paired with a passion for creating innovative marketing solutions for this market is important. This will be combined with a desire to bring a premium brand and offering to the UK IFA market for the first time. A great storyteller, you will be able to take our vast resources and voices and deliver a world-class leading proposition which fits with the premium brand and service we have.

You will be a motivated self-starter that is confident in planning, design and contributing to a new business initiative from inception to launch and continued growth over the long term. A strong communicator, you will be responsible for taking the investment story to key stakeholders, primarily UK IFAs but also including UK trade press and UK media as necessary. A collaborative individual, you will relish, and have experience, of working with internal stakeholders, including our portfolio management team and third party agencies as required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Design and execute the MPS marketing strategy relevant for the UK IFA market
  • Work closely with SMEs and stakeholders to create insightful macroeconomic, market and investment narratives across multiple channels
  • Edit and refine investment content from various sources to ensure consistency, clarity and compliance
  • Lead the messaging and sign off process ensuring materials are aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Delivery of key marketing material to the IFA and private client market in a timely and professional manner
  • Support the Head of MPS in regular Group stakeholder management to ensure the MPS strategy is well understood
  • Support the Head of Marketing and Communications in developing an industry leading marketing proposition
  • Support Business Development Managers (BDMs) with acquisition of new IFA relationships and key business initiatives to support current and prospective IFAs
  • Act as an ambassador of the firm both internally and externally in the marketplace
  • Partner with colleagues e.g. Regional Marketing, Brand and Communications, Portfolio Management, and Global Product Solutions, to ensure our offering is relevant to the evolving needs of the IFA and private client community
  • Utilise Management Information to inform decision-making around outcomes
  • Membership of relevant governance committees as necessary

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong knowledge of investment markets, economic trends in the private wealth and IFA investment sector
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills, with focus on clarity and engagement
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams
  • Highly organised, deadline driven, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of best practices in investment communication for advisers and clients
  • Experience working with stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment in content
