The Global Media Planner leans into Crossmedia’s strategic media plan development and is responsible for speaking to the holistic plan narrative, including tactical details and campaign performance. They utilise their knowledge of media strategy and channels to ensure strategic rigor is maintained throughout the entire plan and support the activation of cross-channel global campaigns.
A successful Planner is resourceful, organised, and energetic throughout the planning process. They are strong communicators, comfortable in a fast-paced industry and handling multiple projects. Aside from primary account responsibilities, Planners also participate in new business pitches and projects, gaining visibility through clubs and organisations within the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow foundational knowledge of media buying/planning for both online and offline media channels.
- Collaborate with Investment, Redbox (analytics), and Strategy counterparts to ensure actionable audience insights are incorporated into strategic recommendations.
- Manage weekly status calls and serve as the main point of contact with clients, interfacing with internal agency teams.
- Comprehend client business objectives and the role media plays in accomplishing them.
- Maintain collaborative, productive working relationships across implementation teams, partner agencies, and media partners.
- Manage client budgets and upkeep of flowcharts to maintain holistic media plan accuracy.
- Build a full understanding of all media math terms and calculations.
- Represent Crossmedia globally through building connections with local agencies.
- Adapt to different types of clients and industries, with a constant willingness to learn.
- Articulate a strong understanding of quantitative media strategy elements.
- Participate in training to enhance professional growth and mentor Assistant Planners.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of agency media planning experience working across channels (Online and Offline).
- Strong project and campaign management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor junior team members.
