Remote (UK based)
We’ve partnered with the exciting menswear clothing brand, Built Different, to find a Marketing Manager who can lead marketing operations as they scale.
Company Overview
At Built Different, we are driven by a singular mission: to empower plus-size men with high-quality clothing that celebrates their unique style and physique. Our journey began when Mark, our CEO, recognized a glaring gap in the market for fashionable and comfortable clothing designed specifically for larger men. In many retail outlets, plus-size men often struggle to find clothing that fits well and makes them feel confident. Frustrated by the lack of options available, Mark decided to take matters into his own hands. He envisioned a brand that not only offered stylish apparel but also embraced the diverse shapes and sizes of men. Our commitment to inclusivity and quality craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do. From our meticulously designed garments to our customer-centric approach, every aspect of Built Different reflects our dedication to serving the needs of our community. We’re scaling rapidly (we’ve secured a spot on the FEBE growth list) and are committed to continuing to innovate, evolve, and expand our offerings to ensure that every man can embrace his unique identity with pride. At Built Different, we’re not just selling clothing – we’re empowering a community.
Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Manager with a proven track record in eCom Marketing to take ownership of Built Different’s marketing operations. This role will oversee the marketing calendar, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless execution of product launches, campaigns, and creative deliverables. As the central hub for marketing operations, you’ll keep timelines on track, manage project tools, and ensure all marketing activities align with our ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Calendar Ownership: Manage and maintain the marketing calendar, ensuring alignment across product drops, sales/events, and email campaigns.
- Campaign Coordination: Oversee the execution of email campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with broader marketing goals.
- Creative Asset Management: Coordinate with the media buyer to ensure a steady supply of new ad creatives weekly, and work with the Creative Strategist to ensure deliverables are met.
- Deadline Management: Ensure editors, designers, and other creative team members meet deadlines, conducting quality control checks on deliverables.
- Shopify Website Management: Ensure the Shopify website is fully updated with sales, product launches, and quality-checked product collection pages.
- Product Launch Project Management: Oversee end-to-end product launches, keeping timelines on track from product development to photoshoot, page creation, and launch.
- Cross-functional Communication: Act as the central point of contact between the Creative Strategist, Media Buyer, Email Manager, Product Developer, and Ecommerce Assistant to align on timelines and deliverables.
- Timeline and Development Briefing: Collaborate with Product Developer to brief the team on upcoming product drops and go-to-market plans.
- Ad and Campaign Tracking: Track ad volume and campaign delivery, providing weekly updates on what went live, what’s upcoming, and any delays.
- Project Management Tools: Own and optimise the use of Asana, Notion, or other project management tools to ensure smooth workflows and accountability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, ideally within a consumer goods, fashion, or apparel brand.
- Proven expertise in managing marketing calendars, campaigns, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills, with experience using tools like Asana, Notion, or similar.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
- Familiarity with Shopify (or similar e-commerce platforms) and email marketing platforms like Klaviyo is a strong advantage.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with creative, marketing, and product teams, as well as external partners.
Benefits
- Rewarding salary
- Opportunity to shape the operational foundation of a fast-growing, innovative clothing brand for larger-sized men
- Collaborative, founder-led team with a passion for creativity and customer experience
- A culture that champions accountability, innovation, and growth
