What you will do:
- Deliver a comprehensive social work service within a multi-agency partnership to children in need and their families, ensuring assessments and interventions align with statutory requirements.
- Identify appropriate pathways for children and families using established guidelines to manage risk and support sustainable change.
- Conduct thorough assessments that address the needs, risks, and protective factors of families, developing plans that promote positive outcomes.
- Work directly with families, utilizing a variety of social work techniques to assess and improve parental capabilities and meet the unique needs of their children.
- Ensure all case recordings are thorough, reflecting the child's voice and analysing the impact of their lived experience.
- Represent the local authority at multi-agency meetings, reviews, and conferences, taking a leading role in proceedings.
- Maintain active professional registration with Social Work England by engaging in continuous professional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to implement and document effective plans for children.
- Participate in supervision with practice managers and leads, offering mentorship and supervision to junior team members or students.
- Undertake additional duties as required, in line with your role and grade.
As a qualified Social Worker with relevant experience working with children and young people in a statutory setting, you must hold a Social Work Qualification or equivalent, and be registered or eligible for registration with Social Work England.
