We are supporting a leading contractor to support on a data centre in operation. You must be 66kV authorised and have GIS experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the 66kV Senior Authorised Person for HV operations on site
  • Support switching operations, issuing permits, and control of access
  • Provide rapid response support for any HV related issues
  • Assist with commissioning activities and energisation of GIS substations
  • Oversee safe systems of work and ensure full compliance with procedures
  • Support wider project teams including fire systems, access control, and general site coordination
  • Work across multiple data centre sites as part of a structured rotation
Requirements:
  • Proven experience operating as a Senior Authorised Person at 66kV
  • Strong experience with GIS
  • Background within HV infrastructure, ideally within data centres or critical environments
  • Experience with switching, permits, and commissioning support
  • Ability to operate in low activity but high criticality environments
Contract Details:
  • Day rate outside IR35
  • 12 month rolling contract
  • June start
  • Rotational (yet to be decided)

This role is ideal for experienced SAPs looking for long term, well-paid work within the data centre space, with a strong focus on safety, standby response, and critical HV support rather than constant high intensity workload.
