We're currently recruiting for a hands-on Project Engineer to lead the deployment and support of a vision-based real-time location system (RTLS), designed to enhance safety and productivity throughout the logistics industry, across customer sites in the UK. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, customer delivery, and technical support. You will work directly with customers to install, configure, and optimise cutting-edge camera-based systems, ensuring successful deployments and long-term performance. You will also act as a key technical contact for existing customers, helping to troubleshoot issues, deliver enhancements, and ensure a smooth user experience.

The position offers broad exposure to advanced technologies including computer vision, AI-driven tracking systems, and industrial safety applications. You will work closely with internal engineering, product, and commercial teams, contributing directly to product improvement through real-world customer feedback. This is a highly varied, hands-on role with significant customer interaction, regular travel across the UK, and strong opportunities for professional development as the product and team continue to scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation, configuration, and commissioning of RTLS solutions at customer locations.
  • Provide first-line technical support to existing customers, ensuring timely issue resolution.
  • Deliver remote monitoring and configuration, with regular on-site visits as required.
  • Support technical sales activities, including customer consultations and solution design.
  • Conduct product demonstrations at customer sites, events, and trade shows.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to prepare presentations, documentation, and proposals.
  • Work closely with customers, external partners, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain deep technical expertise in our camera-based, AI-powered RTLS platform.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback to contribute to continuous product improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical or engineering role.
  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Interest in technologies such as electronics, RF systems, computer vision, and safety applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work systematically, accurately, and independently.
  • Hands-on, flexible, and able to adapt in dynamic environments.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/issues simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Experience with Linux and Python is a plus.
