Due to continued expansion within the EMEA region, they are seeking a high-calibre Senior ICT & Security Engineer to join their growing UK team.
The Role
As a Senior Engineer, you will take a lead role in the development and coordination of complex ICT and security installations. This is a client-facing position where you will manage medium-sized projects, ensuring technical excellence and financial performance from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Manage the full project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, fee bids, and cost/profit diagnosis.
- Technical Design: Lead the design and coordination of ICT/Security systems, equipment, and facilities.
- Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, attending technical meetings and providing strategic advice.
- Quality & Delivery: Support project delivery in line with internal QA/QC processes and technical review standards.
- Mentorship: Oversee the technical accuracy of work produced by Trainee, Graduate, and junior Engineers.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive project reports for management and external stakeholders, modifying schedules and plans as required.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a technically robust engineer with a proven track record in ICT infrastructure and a consultative approach to project delivery.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Education: A degree in an appropriate ICT Infrastructure or Engineering discipline.
- Experience: 5–10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally gained within a multi-disciplinary consultancy, ICT specialist firm, or network systems integrator.
- Project History: Demonstrable experience in ICT infrastructure, building fit-outs, and migration projects.
- Technical Competencies: You should possess a strong technical understanding of the following areas:
- Critical Facilities & Data Centre Design
- Campus Networks & LAN Ethernet Switching
- Wi-Fi & Network Communications
- Structured Cabling Systems & Fibre Optic Networks
- Telecommunication Network Infrastructure
