A mid-sized Microsoft Partner is looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to join its growing technical team. This is a predominantly remote role, but candidates must be based in the UK. You will work on the design, development and deployment of Business Central and NAV solutions, supporting new projects, upgrades, bespoke development and ongoing product enhancements.
The role will involve:
- Developing and enhancing solutions across Dynamics NAV and D365 Business Central
- Working with C/AL, C/SIDE and AL
- Supporting upgrades from NAV to Business Central, including C/AL to AL conversion
- Reviewing functional specifications and producing clear technical documentation
- Estimating development effort for project planning and client proposals
- Resolving development-related support tickets and product issues
- Preparing and managing software releases
- Supporting peer reviews and maintaining coding standards
- Working with DevOps / GitHub and modern development practices
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience developing Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central solutions
- Proven experience with AL, ideally alongside C/AL and C/SIDE
- Experience upgrading bespoke NAV/BC solutions to newer versions
- Ability to turn functional requirements into technical designs
- Microsoft SQL Server experience
- Understanding of APIs, XML and integrations
- Experience using Git, DevOps or GitHub
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical detail clearly
- Ability to support or mentor junior developers
Desirable experience:
- Automated testing
- Third-party NAV/BC solutions such as Tasklet Mobile WMS, Continia or Zetadocs
- C#, Java or other object-oriented programming languages
- Microsoft Visual Studio
- SharePoint, CRM or broader Microsoft stack exposure
