Currently I'm supporting my client on an interim requirement to support a live data transformation, where data needs to be structured, shaped, and made usable for integration teams. You will be stepping into an existing environment and getting moving quickly. The role is for initially a 3-6 month contract, paying between £400-£500 a day, on a remote basis (with occasional office work) and will be starting on an immediate basis.

What you'll be doing:

  • Taking data from multiple source systems (e.g. HR, finance) and structuring it for integration
  • Shaping and organising data within an Azure Synapse environment
  • Working with medallion architecture (bronze/silver layers) to prepare usable datasets
  • Enabling integration teams by clearly defining relationships, tables, and usable data outputs
  • Operating across dev / test / live environments with proper CI/CD practices

This is less about complex modelling, and more about making data usable, accessible, and ready to be picked up downstream.

What you'll need:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse
  • Experience using dedicated SQL pools (essential)
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD in Synapse / Azure DevOps
  • Ability to pick up an existing environment and deliver quickly
  • Good SQL and practical data transformation experience
