We are recruiting on behalf of a leading international fuel storage and energy infrastructure operator within the oil & gas and COMAH sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CAD Designer to support engineering, project, and operational activities across a large UK & Ireland terminal and pipeline network. The role combines technical CAD design responsibilities with document control and engineering governance within a highly regulated industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and amend CAD drawings, layouts, and engineering designs
- Support engineering and project teams with surveys, estimates, and technical documentation
- Maintain and manage engineering documentation within the EDMS
- Control document revisions, approvals, distribution, and archiving
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, contractors, and suppliers
- Support commissioning activities, QA documentation, and handover packs
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations including COMAH, CDM, PUWER, DSEAR and EWR
- Act as MOC Coordinator ensuring governance processes are correctly applied
About You
- Proven CAD design experience within engineering, industrial, energy, or infrastructure sectors
- Strong document control and EDMS experience
- Working knowledge of COMAH or Major Accident Hazard environments preferred
- Familiar with relevant UK engineering and safety regulations
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel to sites across the UK & Ireland as required
