Partner with new biotech and pharma companies to drive top line services growth in predominantly Scandinavia. Continue to deepen relationships with existing client base to enable their success. Work closely with the business development and CMC teams to develop the right strategies and tactics to meet the sales targets for the region. Stay current on competitors and competitive strategies, and provide input needed for the development of future service offerings. Represent WuXi Biologics at local and regional biotech conferences.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Increase client base and revenue in the responsible region by identifying/developing new biotech clients, expanding existing biotech clients’ business, and developing/managing strategic/key accounts across WuXi Biologics value chain.
  • Manage a large portfolio of biotech clients and strong network within the biotech/VC communities.
  • Build strong internal relationships across functions.
  • Work closely and align with local CMC team for each partner.
  • Plan and perform the selling, proposal and contract negotiation process independently.
  • Represent WuXi Biologics at trade shows.
  • Contribute to key commercial strategies across the Global BD team.
  • Manage all business aspects of the customer relationship.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service.
  • Timely update of Salesforce.com and monitor KPIs.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of life science industry experience, preferably including 3 years of successful sales and territory management experience within the CMO/CRO space.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong gravitas and relationship building skills.
  • Listening and empathy demonstrated.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, and examples of expanding customer base and driving revenue.
  • Demonstrated success at managing multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to exhibit effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ideally, based in UK/Scandinavia.
  • Home office based.
