M&A Lawyer β Insurance β London, UKAngove Partners is partnering with an award-winning insurance underwriter, seeking an M&A Lawyer in London to join their team as an Underwriter. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in Mergers & Acquisitions at a law firm.What is the role?As a member of the underwriting team on transactional insurance deals, you will handle a variety of workstreams in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. The role will be very hands-on and provide in-depth exposure to M&A and corporate transactions. This role is based in London, UK.What will you be doing?Review transaction documentation, including sale and purchase agreements, disclosure letters, and due diligence reports.Assess legal, financial and commercial risks associated with M&A transactions.Identify gaps or weaknesses in due diligence that could present coverage risks.Structure and price Warranty & Indemnity (W&I), tax liability, and contingent risk insurance policies.Draft and negotiate policy terms, limits, exclusions, and bespoke clauses tailored to the deal.Lead underwriting calls and discussions with brokers, lawyers, private equity firms, and corporate clients.Manage underwriting timelines to align with strict M&A deal completion schedules.Maintain strong client and broker relationships to encourage repeat business.Stay informed on M&A market trends, deal structures, and jurisdiction-specific regulations.What do you need to apply to this role?We anticipate that candidates will have at least two years of M&A Law experience.
