The Redline Group have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Electrical Design Engineer to work with our customer and to play a key part in the design and development of electrical systems for advanced stationary power and battery-based products. Working alongside a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will take ownership of electrical schematics, wiring designs, and system validation. This role will be based onsite in Loughborough and will be for an initial 6 month contract.

This Loughborough based business is a well established and technically innovative organisation operating within the stationary power and battery systems sector. Their products are used in critical applications and due to continued project demand and development activity, they are seeking an experienced contractor who can hit the ground running and deliver high quality electrical design work. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to meaningful engineering projects within a fast paced development environment.

Key Skills Required – Contract Electrical Design Engineer

  • Strong experience using SolidWorks Electrical
  • Electrical schematic capture and documentation
  • Design of wiring looms and cable assemblies
  • Experience working on stationary power systems and/or battery design
  • Practical, hands on engineering approach
  • Hands on testing and fault-finding experience in multimeters is desirable but not essential
