We are seeking an experienced Utility Development Program Manager to lead the planning and delivery of utility infrastructure across a growing portfolio of large-scale development projects. This role will focus on ensuring power capacity is secured, planned, and delivered to support existing and future operational requirements.

The successful candidate will oversee utility and substation projects from early feasibility through construction delivery, working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and utility providers across multiple European locations.

Open to candidates based in: United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, or Spain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure timely delivery of utility infrastructure to development sites
  • Support site due diligence activities by evaluating utility and grid capacity feasibility
  • Manage external partners and consultants involved in substation design and construction
  • Drive standardisation of utility substation and distribution designs across multiple sites
  • Oversee budgets, forecasting, procurement, and delivery schedules for utility projects
  • Develop specifications for transformers and related electrical equipment
  • Lead procurement of long-lead electrical infrastructure and manage associated construction activities
  • Coordinate multiple utility infrastructure projects simultaneously
  • Track, manage, and report on project schedules and power delivery milestones

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in medium/high voltage construction management or related infrastructure projects
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of substations, grid connections, and utility infrastructure delivery
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to travel regularly as required to support projects
  • Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Preferred Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in electrical substation or grid connection design/construction
  • Licensed electrician or engineer with MV/HV expertise
  • Technical knowledge of medium and high voltage electrical systems
  • Experience managing large-scale infrastructure portfolios

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities effectively
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages beneficial (Finnish, Spanish, German, or Italian)
