Your Role
- Produce and develop high-quality 2D and 3D detailed drawings.
- Deliver drawings from concept stage through to manufacturing and installation.
- Develop bespoke façade systems.
- Prepare tender bay studies, including coordination with the Tender Department.
- Independently review and assess project requirements, including ERs and specifications.
- Define project deliverables in line with ASFD standards, project structure, and document registers, in coordination with the Technical Manager.
- Prepare, explain, and coordinate technical solutions and issues.
- Attend internal and external design workshops with multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain awareness of SD deliverables and associated programmes.
- Coordinate drawings and manage associated comments using the comment tracker.
- Follow ASFD working methods, procedures, and standards.
- Independently liaise with suppliers to clarify technical details.
- Coordinate and define technical details with internal teams such as engineering and production.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategic proposals for implementation.
Your Skills
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a designer in the façade industry.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar system design role.
- Strong knowledge of standard stick systems, Unitised, doors, and windows.
- Excellent AutoCAD skills.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Revit and Inventor is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong technical understanding with a structured and organised approach to work.
- Advanced knowledge of the manufacturing and construction of bespoke façade systems.
- Strong understanding of building regulations and relevant standards, with a commitment to best practice.
- Proactive team leader capable of training, mentoring, and managing a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
