As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will take ownership of the full commercial lifecycle across your allocated projects across Germany, working closely with Project Managers and the wider commercial teams to protect margin, manage risk and maximise the commercial performance of each contract.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent qualification
  • Solid exposure to large-scale, complex construction projects across Civils or MEP disciplines
  • Data centre experience is advantageous but not essential - what matters is your commercial acumen, your ability to work at pace and your appetite to be part of a globally thriving business

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive cost control and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Full contract surveying duties including variations, account settlement and dispute management.
  • Monthly valuations, Cost Value Comparisons and weekly cost reports reviewed alongside project managers.
  • Administration of cost and variation procedures in line with contract requirements.
  • Compilation of subcontract orders and material purchase orders.
  • Engagement with pre-construction and project management teams on budgets, programme and Health & Safety considerations.
  • Tracking design and contract changes that impact budget targets.
  • Taking a lead commercial role on allocated projects, providing guidance and oversight to junior QS and commercial staff.
  • Reviewing and signing off subcontract procurement strategies to ensure best value is achieved across the supply chain.
  • Providing commercial input and advice to project and senior management on risk, opportunities and overall contract performance.
  • Managing and securing payment for contract variations and contractual claims, ensuring timely notices and correspondence are issued.
  • Leading client and subcontractor negotiations where required.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team with a view to developing their technical and commercial capability.
  • Representing the business in client-facing meetings with professionalism and integrity.
