Ceto Talent are representing a well-known global energy EPCI contractor in the search for an experienced Senior Project Engineer / Offshore Methods Engineer (Lead – Pipelines) to support a major UK Carbon Capture project.
Location: South West London (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 home) + occasional Teesside visits
Contract: 6–9 Month Contract (strong potential to extend)
Day Rate: Highly negotiable depending on experience

Purpose of the position: This role is suited to a Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in offshore pipeline installation and construction methods. As an Offshore Methods Lead / Senior Project Engineer, you will report into the Installation Methods Manager and play a key role in delivering a major Carbon Capture & Net Zero project. You will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the methods engineering function, ensuring technical delivery is achieved efficiently, safely, and in line with project objectives.
Some of your responsibilities:
- Act as a Senior Project Engineer, leading and coordinating the methods engineering team and technical output
- Administer and implement the working programme in line with design, specifications, and project plans
- Interpret, implement, and improve proposed design solutions
- Oversee document control processes including review, distribution, and filing systems
- Review procedures, reports, and calculations to ensure all deliverables meet requirements
- Maintain close technical coordination with the Client, including attending interface meetings
- Provide technical support to offshore installation teams and vessel management
- Ensure installation records, checklists, and documentation are completed and handed to QC
- Support critical offshore activities, ensuring execution aligns with methodology and capturing lessons learned
- Attend site when required to carry out inspections and ensure compliance with project requirements

- Rigid offshore pipelines
- Above Water Tie-Ins (AWTI)
- Client-side engineering, documentation, and approval processes
What are we looking for?
- Experience operating at Senior Project Engineer level within offshore construction or pipeline installation projects
- Proven background in construction methods engineering, particularly pipeline landfall / installation
- Strong experience within Energy or Oil & Gas project environments
- Experience working on client-side engineering, approvals, and technical documentation
- Ability to coordinate across engineering teams, offshore crews, and stakeholders
- Relevant engineering degree or diploma
- OEUK Medical (or willingness to obtain)
